Using the Census for Genealogy
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 02/20/2020
The 2020 U.S. Census will be taken this year. It will be the 24th time the federal government has taken this count. Each census is different, and although never intended to be used as a genealogical tool, has become one of the most used resources for researchers. This beginning genealogy class will discuss what information may be found in the various census schedules, and will explore the strengths and weaknesses in the use of it as a genealogy tool.
The class is free and open to the public.
