St. Louis County Library - Grant's View Branch
South County patrons have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the new Grant's View Branch-and we're happy to announce, we have a date! Grant's View will open to the public on Tuesday, December 22 at 9:00 a.m. The new branch is located at 9700 Musick Road.
Grant's View replaces the Tesson Ferry Branch, which closed to the public on November 14, 2015. The stunning new branch features a large, two-story glass atrium with comfortable seating and a café area with vending. Other highlights include an expanded, colorful children's area with a program area and interactive displays; four private study rooms, new computers and an instructional lab, a large teen space, and a quiet reading room. A large meeting room, seating 200, will be available for use by community groups and businesses. The space can also be divided into two smaller meeting rooms. Green space around the branch will include a children's garden where families can read together or attend programs, and a 20-bed community garden (with room for expansion). Grant's View is connected to the nearby Grant's Trail bike path via a sidewalk, allowing cyclists and pedestrians to easily access the branch.
