Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi. Soulard Farmer's Market is named for Julia Cerre Soulard and open year round Wednesday-Saturday.

Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi established in 1779 and is open Wednesday-Saturday. We have 13 local farmers, 1 organic farmer, a full service florist and spice shop, lots of food and a bunch of produce vendors that handle local and shipped in goods. The market also carries a variety of other general merchandise like shirts, jewelry, incense, sports memorabilia, hand made soaps, carpet, photography and hand made crafts.

 

Hours:

Wednesday 8 am - 5 pm. The Grand Hall shops are open, along with a few outside produce vendors, and the pet shop.
 
Best Wednesday shopping is (9-3) May - September

Thursday 8 am - 5 pm. The Grand Hall shops are open, along with a few inside and outside produce, meat, and cheese vendors, and the pet shop.

Best Thursday shopping is (9-3) May- September

Friday 7 am - 5 pm. The Grand Hall shops are open and more inside and outside vendors are open, including produce, meat, fish, flower, cheese, hot food, and craft vendors, as well as the pet shop.
