The park land was purchased in 1965 with Bond Issue money. Sioux Passage was dedicated on October 29, 1967. The shelter and barbeque pit were constructed in July 1988 with 1986 bond issue funds. Sioux Passage Park is part of the Missouri River Greenway. The park is contiguous with Briscoe Park.

Horseback Riding Trails - Permitted only on designated trails with open riding allowed along the river. Horse trailer parking area is the gravel lot. (Bring your own horse, no horse rentals are available). 

Fishing - Available along the Missouri River in accordance with Missouri Wildlife Code. 

Winter Outdoor Sports - Sioux Passage is a designated Winter Sports area with snowmobiling, sled riding and cross-country skiing permitted. 

Missouri River Access Missouri Department of Conservation’s boat ramp is accessible by driving through the park.
