Orchestrating Diversity is a nonprofit music education program inspired by the El Sistema movement. We offer two summer camps: JUMP (for beginners from 4-12)teaches beginning violin with singing games and other activities from 9-noon . In the Orchestra Camp we teach college level music theory, ear training, along with weekly private lessons. Students learn period performance practices and interpretation, and play repertoire that perofessional orchestras play. The best part is, Its all completely free!
Diversity Orchestra is a is a FREE symphonic orchestra program, primarily serving students in the 6th through 12th grades. During the school year students meet for sectional practice and full orchestra practice in addition to private lessons. During the summer intensive program, students meet five days per week. Instruction includes music theory as well as orchestral performance. Students should expect to perform in at least three major concerts per year.
