*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/20/2021
Meet Mooma and Truman, a milk cow and her calf, at Historic Sappington House, 1015 S. Sappington Road 63126 as we celebrate MISSOURI’s 200th BIRTHDAY on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm. Mooma and Truman are characters in a new children’s book entitled The Cow Cocoon. Authors Rachel Nolen and Maria Price will be reading this delightful book at 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30 pm to visitors. Guided museum tours of the Thomas Sappington House built in what then was the Louisiana Territory, 13 years before statehood, will be conducted. The Missouri Fiddlers will be playing old-time, toe-tapping music from the past. And what would a party be without ice cream - Rocky Mountain cones - locally made at Ronnie’s and favorite at the Muny.
