Inspired by the intelligence and emotional wisdom of young people, Metro Theater Company (MTC) creates professional theater, fosters inclusive community, and nurtures meaningful learning through the arts. We envision a strong, vibrant and diverse St. Louis, where every person is valued and respected, and where all young people are empowered to reach their full human potential without barriers. Since 1973, MTC has reached a total audience of more than two million and has a national reputation for excellence in the field of professional theater for young audiences. MTC has received major honors and awards, both locally and nationally. The company is led by Artistic Director Julia Flood and Managing Director Jessie Youngblood.
