The St. Peters Veterans Memorial Commission invites you to join us this Memorial Day for a day honoring our nation’s Armed Services members who gave their lives in the line of duty. This year’s Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial outside St. Peters City Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Our guest speaker for the ceremony is Lt. Col. Rance Bryan. Lt. Col. Bryan retired from the Missouri Air National Guard in 2020, after more than 22 years of service in the U.S Navy and U.S. Air Force.

During his 22-year career, LtCol Bryan served first as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Navy and later as a Nurse Practitioner in the U.S. Air Force and the Missouri Air National Guard. His service included two deployments to Balad Air Base, Iraq. He later served as the Chief Nurse and Deputy Director of the Center for Sustainment and Trauma Readiness Skills at St. Louis University.

Lt. Col. Bryan is a graduate of Memphis University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and St. Louis University, where he earned his Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in acute critical care.

Lt. Col. Bryan is a Life Member of VFW Post 5077 and currently resides in O'Fallon, MO.

With this being an outdoor event, seating is very limited. Please consider the weather conditions as you’ll want to stay cool. Bring water to drink and a lawn chair so that you’ll be able to be comfortable and close to the ceremonies.

The St. Peters Veterans Memorial is located at One St. Peters Centre Blvd. In case of rain or extreme heat, the ceremony will move indoors to the Cultural Arts Centre banquet rooms.
