Why We Celebrate
The Greentree Festival began in 1961 as a way to help replace the trees lost to Dutch elm disease. It has grown into one of Kirkwood’s most treasured traditions, honoring our past while creating joyful moments in the present.
Our mission:
To foster community spirit, celebrate Kirkwood’s heritage, and support our parks through an inclusive, joyful event that brings people together.
From Friday night's Party in the Park to Saturday's Greentree Parade, every moment is a chance to celebrate what makes Kirkwood special—its people.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
