The Gateway Cup

The Gateway Cup attracts the best professional and amateur cyclists to St. Louis for four days of “criterium format” racing through four of our most vibrant neighborhoods. All four days of the Gateway Cup are included on the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar, which emphasizes the magnitude of this cycling event. In the men’s and women’s professional races, the top national and international cyclists will zip around the one-mile laps, averaging speeds of 30 miles per hour. These thrilling races typically end in a sprint to the finish line. Attracting thousands of spectators every day, the Gateway Cup takes place in Lafayette Square, Francis Park, The Hill and Benton Park.
