The Freedom Seekers Project & Juneteenth Journey ZMD Collaboration | What’s happening in St. Louis

The Freedom Seekers Project & Juneteenth Journey ZMD Collaboration

As part of the Juneteenth Journey ZMD Collaboration, community members are encouraged to visit participating ZMD institutions to engage with programs and experiences that highlight Black history, culture, and community storytelling across the region. Visitors who attend all five locations will be eligible to enter a raffle for memberships to each participating institution. The Freedom Seekers Project is an evolving interpretive experience that highlights the lives of enslaved individuals connected to the Garden’s history. Through exhibits, signage, and educational programming, the project invites visitors to engage with a more complete, evidence-based narrative while honoring stories of resilience, resistance, and the pursuit of freedom.
