Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
  • 11:00 a.m. Bike Maintenance class presented by experts from TrailNet in the Carnegie Room on the third floor.
  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Houseplant Swap. Bring small potted plants and/or plant cuttings to trade with others in the Locust Street atrium.
  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. St. Louis City Recycles will be here with an information table in the Locust Street atrium.
  • 2:00 p.m. The documentary film Truck Farm will be shown in the Carnegie Room on the third floor.
Blending serious exposition with serious silliness, TRUCK FARM entreats viewers to ponder the future of urban farming, and to consider whether sustainability needs a dose of whimsy to be truly sustainable. Featuring nutritionist Marion Nestle, chef Dan Barber, explorer Henry Hudson and a very lonely seagull.  This film is not rated.  Appropriate for grades 7 and up.
Downtown is busy with shopping, sporting events, restaurants, concerts, and Central Library! We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get to us. If you are parking at a meter, the meters are monitored from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Free parking is available for Library customers at the lot at the corner of 15th Street and Olive - just one block west of Central Library.
