Stop by the Yanda Log Cabin on October 1st from 10am-3pm to learn about blacksmithing, embroidery, rope making, and more. Listen to our musicians as you explore and experience life as an early settler of Glen Carbon. Step inside the cabin to see how these families lived!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Built in 1853, the Yanda Log Cabin is a wonderful educational resource for Glen Carbon's residents and visitors alike. At this year's Cabin Day, step inside the cabin, watch the blacksmith ply his trade, learn about embroidery, and food processing as a pioneer. Listen as the dulcimer player fills the air with lovely music from an historic instrument. Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10am-3pm, visit the cabin to learn about pioneer life in Glen Carbon. We can't wait to see you there!
