Annual Twin City Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 12/02/2019
The 71st annual Twin City Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade is unofficially the official kick off to the holiday season for the Twin Cities. The parade is led by either the mayor of Festus or Crystal City and the marching band from one of those cities as well. A theme is chosen each year and many floats, bands, and other participants go all out to make their float be the one that turns the judges eye. Marching bands from around the county are bussed in to participate. Candy is handed out by clowns provided by the Chamber and those are the only ones allowed to throw or distribute candy during the parade. Since 1948 Santa has always in the last vehicle in the parade and that's where you will continue to find him!
