Alexandra Ballet is a non-profit, semi-professional company located in Chesterfield, Missouri. ALEXANDRA SCHOOL OF BALLET, the official school of Alexandra Ballet, offers classes for ages 4 and up.

Alexandra Ballet is classically oriented and seeks to cultivate an appreciation for the art of dance as an essential ingredient in the life of the community. Alexandra Ballet raises community consciousness and appreciation of the art of dance through public performances. The repertoire ranges from traditional to contemporary and performances showcase original works, the restaging of classics by nationally known choreographers and the collaboration of professional guest artists. It also dedicates a portion of its time to presenting lecture/demonstrations for Scouts, as well as educational programs for young school children. Alexandra Ballet has collaborated with professional organizations, including Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Dance St. Louis, and Chesterfield Arts.

Alexandra Ballet is a not-for-profit organization and receives funding assistance from the Saint Louis Regional Arts Commission, Missouri Arts Council, and the Arts and Education Council of Greater St. Louis. Alexandra Ballet is a proud member of Chesterfield Arts, Dance St. Louis, Missouri Citizens for the Arts, Regional Dance America / Mid-States (honor company), and KFUO/Classic 99 Circle of Friends.

The Alexandra School of Ballet was established in 1949 to provide professional ballet training for students. Over the years classes in modern and variations have been added. The goal of the school has been to develop a sound technique and cultivate an appreciation of dance in every student whether hopes are for a professional career or for cultural enrichment and enjoyment. Technique is carefully structured in order to produce students who have strength, flexibility, and the style necessary should they decide to pursue a career in dance.

The school has two modern studios equipped with professional wood floors, mirrors, proper lighting, practice barres, dressing rooms, reception area, and office. Audio visual aids are used for learning repertoire, fine classical recordings are played for instruction and advanced pupils are accompanied by a school pianist. Dance periodicals, videos, and books are available for added incentives.

The school's faculty has been selected with great care. They have had the finest possible training in order to provide a quality experience for every student.

We invite you to share in a growing, challenging, artistic experience as a student and look forward to a productive and rewarding year.
